Why We Built This Site
Michigan gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Circuit Court, which serves the 32nd Circuit shared with Ontonagon County, handles felonies, civil suits over $25,000, divorce and custody through its Family Division, and personal protection orders. The 98th District Court takes misdemeanors, traffic cases, small claims, landlord-tenant matters, and civil suits under $25,000. The Probate Court manages estates, guardianships, and conservatorships. The County Clerk and Register of Deeds is the county's records hub for vital records, marriage licenses, circuit court filings, and recorded deeds. The Sheriff runs the county jail. Add Michigan's statewide MiCOURT case search and the state vital records office, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
